Demänovská Valley

The most well-known valley in the Lower Tatras is Demänovská Valley; the most important sights in this valley are the Demänovská Caves. The ice cave is one of the earliest mentioned (1299) in the world. A wonderful ice world opens up to the spectators here. Especially facinating are the ice stalactites and the waterfalls inside the cave. The region's ski areas offer skiers excellent conditions for alpine and cross-country skiing.
