With the "Kronplatz" lift past, you receive access to South Tyrol's Nr. 1 ski mountain with a total of 119 km of piste and 32 access points at an altitude between 973 m and 2,275 m. Thanks to its numerous snow cannons, this ski area counts as "snow secure" from December to April.

The 8-person "CroniExpress" gondola is especially designed for beginners, children and families. Here, you can expect a 100 m wide piste with 160 m altitude variation. The Kronplatz is known for its very family-friendly ski area with numerous offers for children. On the Kronplatz peak, parents can view their children's progress in the "Croniworld" while simultaneously taking in the breathtaking 360° panoramic view. Another great kids park can also be found at the entrance to St. Vigil.

For experienced Alpinists, the "Black Five" - five black runs - pose an exciting challenge. Belonging to the fantastic five are the "Sylvester," the "Herrnegg," the "Pre da Peres," the "Erta," and the "Piculin." Two floodlight pistes are available for night skiing. Snowboarders can let off steam in the Snowpark on the halfpipe. The Kronplatz ski area is also known for its hosting of diverse sporting events such as the Snowboard World Cup.

During the previous season the Plan de Corones was upgraded: the popular Sonnenlift was replaced, completely renewed and many new features like heated seats and protective covers were added. The Miara cabins now have free Wi-Fi and the artificial snow-making facilities were improved.

In the ski area, at many of the lift pass offices, you'll find free Wi-Fi hotspots. Additionally, with the "Dolomiti Superski" upgraded lift pass, further hotspots are available at the mountain stations and culinary establishments in the various ski areas. The connecting lift pass gives you the choice between 1,200 km of piste and 450 lifts!

Après ski St. Vigil

The evenings in St. Vigil round off on a rather quiet note. You can enjoy a great meal with tasty South Tyrolean delicacies and sit comfortably together with a glass of wine. Whoever likes can also take part in a skittles party. Apres ski fanatics can look to the surrounding areas of the Kronplatz region - namely directly at the valley stations. For example, in Olang and Bruneck, you can find several apres ski bars.

Of course, you can also end your day of skiing on a more sporting note, such as taking a winter hike through the gorgeous Fanes-Sennes-Prags nature park or participating in a guided snowshoe hike. If it's atmosphere you're after, a trip to the nature reserve at the visitor's centre is worth looking into. This is also a great place for families with children to discover.

For a fast-paced evening, tobogganing and ice skating are where you'll find your thrills. Daredevils can also take to the sky in St. Vigil on Europe's longest zipline! This one of a kind "balancing act" is an exciting yet safe attraction that delivers an adrenaline kick at a length of 3 km. With experienced trainers and special rollers with built-in brakes, you can ride safely over 10 stations at 400 m altitude into the valley. You'll even reach speeds of up to 80 km/h!
