Ski holidays Ridanna - peacefulness and fun in the snow in Ridnau Valley!

Ridanna

In the heart of Ridanna Valley, the tranquil resort of Ridanna (German: "Ridnaun") sits at an altitude of 1,342 m. It is part of the municipality of Ratschings in the neighbouring valley and is not far from two attractive ski areas: Rosskopf and Racines-Jaufen. In Ridanna and its picturesque surroundings you can look forward to winter sports fun in all its facets, whether you are skier, snowboarder, bobsleigh rider, horseback rider, winter hiker or simply enjoy the snow. Fans of nordic skiing can look forward to numerous well-groomed cross-country trails. Additionally, there is a modern cross country- and biathlon centre that was host to the IBU Biathlon European Championship in 2011.

Ridanna is characterised by its long history of mining, and the Schneeberg tourist mine is a popular destination for excursions. Castle Wolfsthurn in the neighbouring resort Mareit is also worth a visit. In the surrounding areas you will also find venerable churches and quaint mountain huts that invite to you take a break from your hike or car ride. The tranquil resort is all about idyll, winter sports and relaxation.

Wipp Valley

The Wipp Valley stretches from Innsbruck to Franzenfeste and is a combination of eleven communities with completely different characteristics. Picturesque villages with customs and rustic essence, as well as secluded mountain farms and natural landscapes or small cities with modern charm await guests. The Wipptal also offers many opportunities for ski tours. The Brenner motorway offers good travel connections to Wipp Valley. Experience magnificent types of landscape: tremendous rock walls, an ice armoured summit, and as always a fascinating glacier.
