Ski area Alta Badia

The lift pass "Alta Badia" guarantees unlimited skiing fun over around 130 km of pistes. The ski area belongs to the Dolomiti Superski network and is stretches out from an altitude of 1,324 to 2,550 m. From La Val you can reach the ski area in around 15 minutes by car. On blue and red slopes you can get from the high plateau Piz Sorega, Piz La Villa, Pralongià and Cherz all the way down to Corvara in the valley. The 2.5 km long piste "Gran Risa" in La Villa is not only there as the black piste for the pros, but also serves as the World Cup piste for the men's giant slalom. In total, 53 lifts make sure winter sports fans stay happy.

The ski area "Alta Badia" allows for access to the well-loved Sella Ronda. On this ski circuit, you can ski round the impressive Sella massif in just one day. The circuit is among the most well loved in the Dolomites. Entry to the route is possible in the four surrounding valley Gröden (Val Gardena), Arabba (Fodom), Gadertal (Val Badia) and Fassatal (Val di Fassa). The entirety of the Sella Ronda, as well as numerous other pistes, are accessible with the network lift pass "Dolomiti Superski".

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Night skiing La Val - Wengen

No night skiing is availble directly in the Alta Badia ski area. However, in the ski area Kronplatz, around 35 km away, four pistes are available for use in the evenings. These pistes are made up of three blue pistes and one red piste. As a result, children and beginner's can also enjoy the view of the lit-up valley. Two pistes can also be used for night tobogganing.

Après ski La Val - Wengen

Those who like to spend their evenings nice and cosy after a day of skiing are in the right place in La Val. The resort offers plenty of restaurants for cosy hours in the evenings. Culture lovers shouldn't miss the chance to visit numerous chapels in the area surrounding La Val. In addition, as a result of its idyllic location at the the foot of the Kreuzkofelgruppe, La Val is an ideal starting point for hikes to the nature park Fanes-Sennes-Prags. Those that need a little more action should definitely check out the natural toboggan run, which has a total length of 10 km. For fans of riding, the "Reithalle Teresa" stables offers an escape into winter wonderland, and is open all year round.

Numerous bars and pubs in Corvara and the surrounding villages will take care of anyone looking for a party atmosphere. "Underground" invites you in for an evening of billiards in a relaxed bar-atmosphere, and you can dance the night away to pop music in the après ski bars "L'Murin" and the "Posta Zirm" tavern.

Snowpark: Alta Badia La Val - Wengen

Each season over 40 obstacles are built in the Snowpark "Alta Badia" by the creative shapers. The park is located on the same plateau as Piz Sorega and offer diverse rails, boxes and jumps alongside the other obstacles.

The "La Freestyla" event has been fixed in the Snowpark's calender for many years and is a part of the popular QParks Tour. Many public photo shootings and competitions take place here.
