Après ski Waldkirchen

Après ski in Waldkirchen is focused on the experience of sports and nature. For example, the Karoli ice hall (60 x 30 m) and Erlauzwiesel storage reservoir offer the opportunity to go ice skating or curling. Furthermore, several quite extensive hiking paths lead through the forests and hills surrounding the resort. For toboggan fun you can best go to Dickenbüchl lift in Oberfrauenwald right after skiing. For bad weather and all water lovers, the public pool and spa "Karoli Badepark" is a welcome change for winter sports; here you can relax in the sauna or during a massage. A tennis- and squash hall, horse-drawn carriage rides or sociable evenings on the skittles alley are also on offer in Waldkirchen. The possibilities really are diverse.

If you prefer visiting the town after skiing, you will not only find a beautiful, historic centre, but also nice cafés for an afternoon break, as well as an extraordinary shopping experience in the fashion house Garhammer. Those interested in cultural aspects should enhance their stroll through the city by visiting the "Goldener Steig" museum.

In the evening you can let yourself be spoiled in the good and quaint restaurants. Typical of the regional cuisine in the tri-state-area is the mix of Bavarian, Austrian and Bohemian cuisine. A last drink in one of the cosy pubs and a stroll through the historic streets round off the evening in Waldkirchen.

Snowpark: Snowpark Waldkirchen

The Snowpark Oberfrauenwald is situated in the upper part of the main piste and can be reached by the tow lift. There are two lines leading through the trees which are equipped with several deep ground waves. When it comes to the level of difficulty the lines are comparable to a boardercross or funslope, which means that also beginners can have fun here. Thanks to the lower demand, beginners of skiing or snowboarding in funparks can try out the snow obstacles. Those who are a little more daring can use the steeper park to build up momentum and execute small jumps. All in all the park is 400 m long and one of its trails has a kicker. As all obstacles and ground waves are made from snow, the parcours is defined as a natural park.
