Ski area 4-Berge-Skischaukel

With the lift pass "Ski amadé" you have the possibility to ski 860 km of piste by using 270 lifts (see ski region).

Schladming, the centre of the Dachstein-Tauern region, belongs to the largest ski destination in Austria and is known far and wide as the host for of the Alpine Ski World Championship, and many further international world cup races. The 4-Berge-Skischaukel with Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm offer a total of 123 km or piste and 44 lifts.

With the Dachstein Glacier the ski area is especially snow-sure. On the glacier there is the 18 km long, challenging ski route "Edelgrieß" which covers an altitude difference of 1,500 m. On the 3 km long illuminated piste at Hochwurzen, skiing can be enjoyed into the evening hours. Various deep powder snow areas and snow parks (e.g. on the Dachstein Glacier) are great for boarders and freeriders, while fans of Nordic skiing can use the varied cross-country trail network with trails of various levels of difficulty.

With the lifts in Schladming you can easily access the 4-mountain connection and can comfortably commute between Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. The family and children's offers is also attractive. Beginners will find ideal conditions at the Höfi-Express.

If you want to review your day on the piste you can log on to Skiline with your ski pass number and see your used services such as used lifts, the amount of kilometres you skied or how many metres in height you passed.

Night skiing Schladming

Fans of night skiing can look forward to a wide range of night skiing possibilities. This is also the case at Hochwurzen (1,850 m) in the Planai & Hochwurzen ski area. Here you will find a night ski piste which is illuminated on a length of 3 km. The well known "Piste 33" leads from the Hochwurzen-Gipfelbahn lift's mountaint station down to the valley station. Operating hours are daily from 19:00 to 23:00, and stop in the huts is still possible late in the evening. Night skiing is not included in the list past and costs extra. However, those who have a valid lift pass for Planai & Hochwurzen will get a 20 % discount on the evening ticket. At Rittisberg nearby you can also use the 3.5 km long night toboggan run from 19:00.

Après ski Schladming

In the ski region "Ski amadé" apres ski starts already at the umbrella bars of the valley station with a few local "Schapserl". A popular meeting point is "Charly's Treff" at the Planai. Countless huts along the pistes also provide a great opportunity to stop by for a drink or a bite to eat. In Schladming apres ski mainly takes place around the mountain station of the Planai lift.

Also the pedestrian zone transforms into an apres ski paradise in the evenings. Numerous bars and restaurants, as well as discos add to the great atmosphere.

Further leisure time offers in the region are e.g. interesting snowshoe and winter hikes, ski tours, snow tubing, tandem flights, torch hikes and horse-drawn sleigh rides. Toboggan enthusiasts can try the runs at e.g. Hochwurzen or at the Rittisberg, which are especially popular with families.

In the activity pool complex in resort there is a slide, sauna area and much more to discover, which brings fun and relaxation alike. Experience a diverse ski holiday in Schladming with many offers away from the piste!
