Ski area Montafon Brandnertal
The Brandner Valley is also known as a real paradise for ski touring fans. Three routes run through the mountains - the most attractive: a tour across the highest peak of the Rätikon, the Schesaplana.
Night skiing Bludenz
Approx. 10 km from the resort entrance to Bludenz in the placid village of Brand, winter sports enthusiasts can look forward to a small night ski piste. Brand is one of the access points to the ski area, and also the centre for night-time skiing in Brandner Valley. The Schedlerhof towlift at the resort entrance extends its operation hours once per week, and you can go skiing on the beginner-friendly piste until the evening. Exact dates and times for night skiing are announced on a local notice board. If you own a several day lift pass or the Brandner Valley tourist card, night skiing is for free.On some night ski evenings, the resort organises ski races for the guests, and everybody can participate for a small fee. Food and drink are available in the nearby "Thomy's Liftstüble".
Après ski Bludenz
Three toboggan runs can be found in Brandner Valley. Speedy sledge rides are not only possible on the 2,7 km toboggan run in Bürserberg: the 9.7 km natural toboggan run Schneegalant down to Brand as well as the 3 km natural toboggan run Eggen, which is illuminated in the evening, are an absolute must-visit.
A total of 200 km signed winter hiking trails and snow shoe routes are available in order to explore the impressive winter scenery around Bludenz. One of the highlights is the 7 km trail up to the summit cross at Muttjöchle.
Ideal for relaxation after a long day on skis is the alpine adventure pool VAL BLU. While adults can enjoy the approx. 800 m² large sauna area, the little ones can let of steam in the pool area with an 70 m tube slide.
More leisure time fun awaits you in the huge Fohren Centre Bludenz with bowling, laser-light labyrinth, bars and disco.
Snowpark: Snowpark Backyards Bludenz
The snowpark "Backyards" in Brander Valley is one of the longest funparks in Vorarlberg and comprises three sections: Trashyard, Woodyard and Boneyard. The Boneyard section is the heart of the park and is suitable mainly for professional freestylers, who can show off their adventurous tricks on a 15 m table kicker, two 12 m rollers, on two jib lines and a large wall.
The Trashyard - two lines with three obstacles each - is designed according to its name and looks like an urban backyard: apart from standard rails and boxes there are trash obstacles such as oil barrels, car tires and rusty pipes.
Besides the regular obstacles, the Woodyard section also offers slideable tree trunks and a wooden wall. The funpark can be reached with the 8 person gondola Palüd.
